Top 5 Wednesday: Books To Get You Out Of A Reading Slump

top-5-wednesday

This week we’re sharing books that will help you get out of a reading slump. When I’m in a reading slump I want to read fun books that are quick and easy to read. If you want to check out the Goodreads group then the link is here.

Confessions of Shopaholic

Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella- I really enjoy Sophie Kinsella’s books. They are so much fun to read and they always make me smile. I would suggest any of her books but I find that this series is so funny because Becky is such a hilarious character.

Anna and the French Kiss

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins– This series is such a fun and cute series to read. The books are very light hearted and they are perfect for reading when you are in a slump.

alices-adventures-in-wonderland

Alice’s Adventure’s in Wonderland by  Lewis Carroll- A classic may seem like a strange choice but this is another fun book that is really quick to read. I love the world that Carroll has created it is a world where nothing makes sense and I think that is part of its charm.

Carry On

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell– Despite being over 500 pages I would still recommend this for getting out of a slump. I love the characters in this book and it is very fun. Many people would pick Harry Potter and this is a similar sort of thing.

The Selection

The Selection by Kiera Cass– Even though this is a dystopian it is more focused on the romance elements and it isn’t a complicated read. I love reading about Maxon and America and this is perfect for getting out of a slump.

What books did you put on your list?
