This week’s topic is books that we’d buy if we were given the money to buy them. I am trying really hard at the moment not to buy any books and concentrate on the ones that I already have but I’m always adding books to my wishlist.
All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr- This year I have really gotten into WW2 fiction. I have read a couple of books that I have really enjoyed and I want to delve further into the genre. I’ve heard a lot of really good things about this book and I would love to have a copy of it.
My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows- I have heard so many great things about this book. I love historical fiction and this book has a fantasy twist to it which sounds really interesting.
Paperweight by Meg Haston- This book is about a girl who has an eating disorder. I’m really interested in reading more fiction about mental illness and I’ve never read a book about eating disorders before.
Ruined by Amy Tintera- This is the first book in a fantasy series about a girl who pretends to be a Prince’s fiance in order to save her family and her kingdom.
The Hypnotist’s Love Story by Liane Moriarty- I love Liane Moriarty’s books and this is the only one that I don’t own so I would love to add it to my collection.
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch- This is the first book in a fantasy about a group of thieves. The plot sounds really interesting and I have heard a lot of really good things about this book.
The Shadow Queen by C.J.Redwine- I love retellings and this is a retelling of Snow White. In this book, the main character Lorelai plans to use magic in order to defeat the evil queen. I have heard mixed things about this book but I would still like to give it a try.
Unhooked by Lisa Maxwell- As I mentioned above I love retellings and this is a retelling of Peter Pan. This book sounds really good and it is such a beautiful book that I need to have it in my collection.
Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver- After reading the Delirium trilogy and Panic, I really want to read more of Lauren Oliver’s books. I’m hoping that this will be as gripping as Panic was.
Wink Poppy Midnight by April Genevieve Tucholke- I’ve heard so many good things about this book and I really want to read it. I don’t know too much about the plot but I know that it follows three very different characters.
What books would you buy?
